Summer is over, where did it go?
Won’t be long now, we’ll be shoveling snow.
This is the greatest season of the year,
In case you haven’t noticed fall is here.
The students have returned to class,
Rogers is throwing pass after pass
Harvesting fruit from orchards and groves.
Cutting lots of wood and firing up stoves.
Pumpkin pie carving and apple pie baking.
Warm fuzzy sweaters and leaf raking
Halloween brings us goblins and ghouls.
Geese are heading south, they’re no fools.
Thanksgiving, a traditional feast from the past,
And let’s not forget the great Bambi blast.
Old man winter is coming to freeze us all.
The temperature is dropping but we enjoy the fall.
