Don’t Wait to Smell the Roses

Don’t wait to smell the roses,

putting things off until another day.

Remember how the saying goes;

“If there’s sun, you should make hay!”

Don’t wait to smell the roses

take time and do it now.

Slow down and smell the roses,

you can squeeze it in somehow.

Don’t wait to smell the roses

and do what you have to do.

Go for a ride in the country,

or whatever motivates you.

Don’t wait to smell the roses

because time goes by so fast.

Spend time with those you love

making memories that will last.

Don’t wait to smell the roses

or your busy schedule rearrange.

Things that seem so important

in essence are just pocket change.

Don’t wait to smell the roses

thinking these things can wait.

We know roses don’t last forever

and it might just be too late!

Don’t wait to smell the roses

and just let life pass you by.

Take time to smell those roses

as in time we all shall die!
